Gardens By the Bay
Located in the heart of Marina Bay and spanning over 101 hectares of reclaimed land, this multi-award winning Gardens by the Bay offers mesmerizing waterfront views across three gardens.
A unique feature of Gardens by the Bay is the misty Cloud Forest. Replicating the humid conditions found on tropical highlands, this 35-metre tall mountain is covered in lush vegetation amidst the world’s highest indoor waterfall.
Visit the Flower Dome, a venue replicating the cool-dry climate of the Mediterranean region where you will find a collection of plants from all corners of the globe and learn how they adapt to their environment.
Be sure to walk across the suspended walkway of the famous Supertrees. These are 9 to 16 storey tall tree-shaped structures offer an impressive bird’s eye view of the gardens. While you are here, you must not miss the “Garden Rhapsody” – a daily show of choreographed lights and music amidst the Supertrees at 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm.
Singapore Botanical Gardens
Take a stroll through the Singapore Botanical Gardens, the country’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 158 year old green space features such highlights as the National Orchid Garden which boasts the world’s largest Orchid display. Try to identify Singapore’s national flower, Vanda Joaquim, among the species and hybrids on display!
Bukit Timah Nature Reserve
For nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is home to approximately 40% of country’s indigenous flora and fauna. This Reserve is designated as one of the ASEAN Heritage Parks and is located on the slopes of Bukit Timah Hill, Singapore’s highest hill towering at 163-metres high.
